Adeline Wolters, who is 89, lived many years on a farm south of Steeleville.
One of Wolters’ favorite pastimes was fishing at the 3 acre lake on her property. When she moved to the Manor, nearly 2 years ago, she thought she’d have to give that up. However,after the first month of living at her new home, theactivity director took her and a group of residents on a fishing trip that included a picnic lunch. Adeline enjoys the activities and has created fond memories which includes trips to the Bluff’s Winery complete with cheese and sausage. She loves hosting pinnochle card parties in her room with friends and other Manor residents.
She also tends to her violets and herb blooming flowering basket hanging from a sheppards hook outside her window. Adeline says, “I have no regrets of coming here (to the Manor). They take care of you here. It’s home.”
